Like A Broad River Gently Flowing: How to Develop A Consistent Practice - A special course celebrating the 20th anniversary of Kadampa Meditation Centre Australia | Sat 10 May 2025
Workshop Description.
It is not hard to generate effort for just a few days, or even for a few weeks or months, but if we are to accomplish our goal our effort needs to be constant. It is far better to apply a small amount of effort consistently than to apply a huge amount of effort for only a few days. It is said that our effort should be like water in a wide river, gently flowing day and night, year after year. Foolish effort is like a waterfall caused by a sudden storm; it cascades noisily and releases tremendous energy for a while, and then it trickles away to nothing. As long as our effort is consistent there is no doubt that we will attain results. It is said that with stable, indestructible effort all good qualities and realizations will increase day by day. Je Tsongkhapa said that with such effort we will complete our spiritual practice.
Join us for this special course and learn how to develop a consistent, unfaltering spiritual practice that will allow us to manifest our full potential.
Additionally, to celebration of the 20th anniversary of Kadampa Meditation Centre Australia, we will host a video presentation and an evening meal following the course, which can be booked separately.
