Finding Joy Within: Meditation in a Busy Life - Ballarat Public Talk | Wed 29 Jan

$10.00

Event Description.

Whether we’re looking for ways to manage stress or to grow emotionally and spiritually, meditation can help us bring more calm and joy into our lives. However, while many of us feel we could benefit from meditation, we often find it challenging to set aside time or go as deeply into it as we’d like.

In this public talk, Buddhist monk Gen Kelsang Rabten will share simple and practical ways to start meditating and make the most of the moments we have, helping us keep our minds peaceful, controlled, and joyful all day long.

Teacher.

Gen Kelsang Rabten is the Resident Teacher of KMC Australia (Dandenong Ranges) and KMC Melbourne (CBD). Ordained in 1994, he has studied under the guidance of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for 30 years. He has taught in many centres around the world including Australia, New Zealand, and South-East Asia.

Gen Rabten exemplifies the essence of the modern Kadampa’s way of life, brings a warm heart and joyful attitude to sharing Buddha’s teachings and the practice of meditation.
